David and Mandye's Family Blog

Sage is a weird dog. When we brought Storey home from the hospital she took one sniff and must have decided he was trouble, because she has spent most of her time trying to avoid him at all costs. Lately however they seem to have come to a truce and are actually friendly with one another, so much so they have even started to play with each other! The other day David found them in Storey's room, where Storey was sitting on Sage, bouncing up and down, singing. And what was the dog who always ran away doing? Laying there like a saint!!




Clover is now 3 months old! Time has literally flown by with her, one day she barely fit into her new born clothes and then the next I'm squeezing her into her 3-6 months. She is the definition of an angel baby: all smiles, never cries, and sleeps great! She's just started to play with some toys (ie bring them to her mouth and eat them) and I think that she might sit up on her own tomorrow, she's trying really hard! :) We love her and can't even remember live without her.

Our good friends, Josh and Brandy, have a baby girl McKinely, who is 10 months younger than Storey. These two are pretty much betrothed (according to her mom) so we thought we'd throw them in the bath together to get some naked baby pics for blackmail later in life. I'm going to save these for the teenage years...ha ha ha.

Our camera went missing (We suspect a little boy and the trash can, but there's no proof!) and we haven't been able to take any pictures of the kids since Halloween!! I finally borrowed a camera from my sister just to get some pictures of Clover so when she's older she won't think that she's adopted :)
She's 2 months old now, and such a happy baby. She still sleeps a lot so we don't really get to spend that much time with her, but when we do she's all smiles, laughs and lots of "talking."

This was Storey's first Halloween trick or treating where he could participate. :) We got the kids all dressed up (Clover was a lady bug) and took them around the block. He was a bit weirded out by all the people he did not know trying to give him candy, but he definitely appreciated it. We just can't wait for next year!

David's family came for a visit this weekend. We had a really good time and were so sad to see them go! We took them to the Japanese gardens one day, and Saturday market the next (well, David took them to Saturday market, I stayed home sick with a sick Clover).
On another note...Clover started to smile (socially) when she was just a couple of days old. She just looked up at my mom one day and smiled, so cute! Anyway, in the picture of Courtney and Clover, you can see her looking up at Courtney and smiling.

We took the kids to the Zoo today (our zoo has $2 Tuesday every 2nd Tues of the month, AWESOME!). This was Storey's second trip and Clover's first. Storey was so excited to be there, he couldn't stop pointing and telling everyone around him what animal they were looking at, which was kind of a shocker to David and me, we really had no clue he knew all the names of the animals! Maybe we need to pay attention more, who knows. Anyway, a fun day was had and some cute pics were taken.

Just thought I'd share this cute picture. Everytime I put her down in this chair, Storey has to sit with her and put his arm around her.
